You are invited to the nineteenth CBS Reunion, full details below. Please RSVP as soon as possible. You may be unable (or simply not wish) to attend, if this is the case please tell me. You can e-mail, phone, write or text, so communication should not be a problem. Thank you.
DATE Saturday March 19th 2016
VENUE Clarence House, Humberstone Gate, Leicester LE1 3PJ (The former school building)
TIME 11.00am - 3.45pm
PRICE £12.50 to include lunch, or £6 entry only. Please note that lunch MUST be booked in advance.. Age UK have asked us to pre-order the meals. Please see the menu below, and send me your choices along with your cheque. Make a note of what you have ordered, you will have forgotten by March!!!
BAR We are arranging our own bar facilities again. Complimentary tea and coffee will also be available
GUESTS Wives, friends and partners are welcome. Entry is free if they do not require lunch, but £12.50 if they do.
AGM As usual there will be a brief AGM, when you will be given the opportunity to make comments.
PARKING There is no parking on site, but multi-storey car parks can be found nearby.
MEMORABILIA We will be exhibiting some of the school memorabilia, along with a selection of panoramic photographs.
GUEST SPEAKER sees the welcome return of the very entertaining retired teacher Bob Childs.
RAFFLE The raffle is popular, and a good way of raising funds. If you could bring something as a prize that would be great. Chocolates, wine, toiletries - anything really. It is a good way to dispose of those unwanted Christmas presents!

2015 Reunion - First Report
Retired teacher Bob Childs was booked as our after (school) dinner speaker. He didn't disappoint and delivered an entertaining chat in the afternoon.
Unfortunately one of our regular cameramen (Mike Ratcliff) couldn't make it, so our pictures are thinner on the ground this year (get well soon Mike). Fw: 2015 Reunion Update
2. Bob Childs born Rothwell Northants 1954....Kettering Grammar School 1965-66, King Edward VII Grammar School King's Lynn 1966-72, Leicester University and School of Education 1972-76, teacher, Head of History, Head of Sixth Form and Assistant Deputy Head at the City of Leicester School 1976-2009 followed by voluntary work for school and charities. Married to Alison with two daughters and a long career in cricket as a player and administrator. Genetic research at Oklahoma City University in 2013 identified our familial muscle condition as an extremely rare mutation called "myopathy with tubular aggregates" hence why proceeds from my book on the school will go to the Myotubular Trust and the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.
